How Our Number Plate Purchase Process Works
1. Confirm Your Vehicle Status
We first confirm whether the number plate will be registered to:
We will also confirm whether the relevant registration procedures will be handled by your vehicle dealer's runner or coordinated with assistance from our team.
This is important because the required process can differ according to the vehicle situation.
2. Confirm the Number Plate and Price
Once you have selected an available registration number, we will confirm the number plate, final selling price, and relevant transaction arrangements with you.
Our team will also explain the next steps before payment is made.
3. Pay the Required Deposit
A 10% deposit, subject to a minimum of RM2,000, is required to confirm the purchase.
Once the deposit has been received, we will issue the relevant order documents and an Invoice showing the number plate purchased, selling price, and deposit amount received.
Please note that the deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable, and it cannot be used toward another number plate.
4. Prepare for the Vehicle and Registration Process
For a new vehicle arriving within 60 days, customers should notify the person in charge at least 5 working days in advance so the required PUSPAKOM B2 inspection can be arranged.
After the inspection has been completed, the remaining balance must be settled in full before we proceed with the subsequent JPJ ownership transfer and/or number plate transfer procedures.
If the new vehicle does not arrive within 60 days, the remaining balance must still be settled within the 60-day period to complete the number plate transaction arrangement.
What Documents Are Normally Required?
For an individual purchase, customers are generally required to provide a copy of the front and back of the buyer's IC.
For a company purchase, the relevant SSM documents will normally be required.
Additional documentation may depend on the vehicle and transaction arrangement. Our team will explain what needs to be prepared before the relevant procedures begin.
Can the Purchase Process Be Arranged Remotely?
Yes. Much of the transaction can be coordinated remotely.
We work with professional runners across multiple states in Malaysia and can arrange assistance according to where the vehicle, registration number, and transaction are located. Customers may also choose to use their car dealer's own runner for the relevant procedures.
